So, my husband and I like to often think back to when the kids were toddlers. They often said some really funny things.
Connor used to say, “Mommy!!! I have a bleet!” That is translated to, “Mommy, I’m bleeding!” Ha ha ha.
Zachary used to say, “Mommy, I think I have a hot.” That is translated to, “Mommy, I think I have a fever…” You know, because us parents say, “Is he hot?” “Is he warm?”
And my most favorite… Kylie… If the bath water was too hot, Kylie would lower herself into the water and say, “OOOOOOOOOOUCH! MOMMY!!! The WATER IS SPICY ON MY BUTT!”
Oh toddlerhood…. I miss it…

My Kate (at about age 3) came to me one night in a heartbreaking sob. I hugged her, asked her what was wrong, and she cries out…. “Moooommmmaaaa….I have a sinusssss!”
We had recently said that (someone’s) sinuses were stuffy.
SNORT.
Too funny! I love how they use our descriptions, or how we use something to identify things. Jerald called the telephone a “hello” for a long time because that’s what we always did…picked it up and said “hello”.
